For their first CubeSat to be flown in the geosynchronous Earth orbit (GEO) space, the Air Force Research Laboratory turned to Blue Canyon Technologies. The Ascent mission completed several demonstrations including cold-gas thrusters, electric propulsion and a commercial-of-the-shelf global position system receiver.
